Side-Draped Skirt

I've been waiting since October for this skirt to hit the shelves in Forever21 Stores and I've finally got a hold of one!!
The side-draped skirt was also featured in Lucky magazine's 2008 December issue. It looks like I'm ahead of the game. :)

Chignon ("Sheen-yon")

This is a good time to wear my hair in a chignon because the wind keeps messing it up. A chignon is a popular type of bun style and it comes from the French phrase "chignon du cou," which mean nape of the neck. It's meant to be worn on special occasions like formals & weddings. But a basic chignon can be worn for everyday casual wear.

Teach me how to be cool like you

I think the best kind of style is the one you feel most comfortable or challenge yourself to be in. It's not always about matching or caring about what others think. The most important critic is yourself and that is all that matters. I admire the users on lookbook.nu because this website has real people with real style.

I want it now!

While I was finishing up my daily routine of checking the Forever21 website for new items, I came across a picture with an outfit that was featured in one of the categories. I absolutely adore this look and more importantly, I want the skirt that she's is wearing. And I want it now.

The perfect shoes for Fall!

I been craving these oxford heels lately! And I really like how these shoes can make an outfit look sleek & sophisticated when worn with black tights. And if my feet are tired from walking in heels, I also want to own a pair of oxford flats as well!

Vogue : September 2008 Issue

Fall fashion is coming up and it must be a big deal because most of the fashion magazines start to get bulky around this time. Has anyone finished reading the September issue of Vogue? All I can say is oh my. I felt overwhelmed by just looking at the first 300 pages, which consisted of 2 pages for the table of contents and the rest were advertisements. The total amount of pages in the magazine is 798. Oh snap! I've been getting minor headaches lately so maybe this isn't a good time for me to read my magazine... :(

Charlotte Russe sale!

Last night at 8:15pm I decided to make a quick run to Fashion Square mall to buy a pair of black boots that I've been longing to own. The cheapest ones I've seen so far are from Charlotte Russe for only $39.99! For the past couple of weeks I waited for the prices to go down..but no luck. So I sped to the mall hoping that I would get there before it closed (at 9PM). And when I arrived, the boots were patiently waiting to be purchased by someone so I happily grabbed my size and just when I was about to leave, the salesperson told me that all shoes were buy one get one for $10! Perfect opportunity to buy the red pumps I've wanted as well! As the cashier rang me up, she told me that I've spent over $50 and I get 10% off my entire purchase! Gee golly, I am one lucky&happy girl.

Blair Wardolf

What's not to like about Blair Wardolf's style?

Shopping list

I still haven't fulfilled my last shopping list due to the high gas prices. I'm learning to cut back on a lot of the things that I used to do. :( Oh well. I still want to make a list of things that I'd like to buy to see if I'm still interested in buying them in the future.

1. career vest

2. collar tie top -
this is SO HARD to find. and every time i find one..it's not the one that I want)

3. long short-sleeve cardigan

4. leather jacket

5. black stockings

6. rain boots
I've been dying to buy a pair after I grew out of my raincoat & rain boots from my Kindergarten play "Singing in the Rain", I don't know why I haven't made it a priority to buy a pair since it always rains in Florida during the summer time)

7. long fitted blazer

8. chanel inspired flats
This is perfect for casual wear. I want them in tan..but unfortunately these are no where to be found due to their popularity. I went shopping with a friend once and asked her opinion on these flats and she gave me the most disgusted look and said no. I left the store empty handed and with the feeling that I made one of the worst decisions in my life. This is one of the reasons why I shop by myself!

11am coffee break

Picture from Elle.com

Last night my sister & I had a conversation about music and fashion. And we came to the conclusion that just because it's not your style, it doesn't mean that it's not music or fashion.

I've had that conclusion about fashion for a while now. A lot of people think they understand trends and what is fashionable or not. But they really don't. I've heard of the most ridiculous theories, coming from people who are only familiar with one type of style: their style. So...I've learned to not listen to these people.

That is all. :)

Rainy days

It's currently raining outside and I'm sitting here on my bed looking outside my window. Unlike most people, I love the rain. I emphasized the word love because I truly do love the rain. The only time I despise rain is when I'm walking to my next class on campus without an umbrella or when I'm driving and I cannot see anything. But other than that, there is so much that you can do when it's raining. Like go out of the house dressed in a nice pair of rain boots or a cute trench coat. But one of my favorite things to do when it's raining is to do nothing and just watch the rain peacefully fall on the ground. The only thing I'm missing right now is a good book.

And since I don't have a reading book, I'll just check LOOKBOOK.nu for now. Lookbook.nu is a source for fashion inspiration from people around the world. Sometimes I think I belong in a bigger city with those kinds of people.

Safari Cardigan

This is such a cute cardigan! I'm contemplating on whether or not I should buy it. Of course it looks really cute in black but I already have so many black cardigans. Right now I'm leaning towards the white. What do you think?
