Chignon ("Sheen-yon")

This is a good time to wear my hair in a chignon because the wind keeps messing it up. A chignon is a popular type of bun style and it comes from the French phrase "chignon du cou," which mean nape of the neck. It's meant to be worn on special occasions like formals & weddings. But a basic chignon can be worn for everyday casual wear.

I wear my hair like that all the time during this time of year (and when I'm patient enough for it to grow this long). When I'm too busy to fuss with my hair, I just twist my hair tight into a ponytail and wrap it around itself to make a bun and wrap a hair tie around it a couple of times. Such a classy (and easy!) look for work. :)

P.S. I have the sheet music for that song at home. :P

I miss you!
